We read this difficult and necessary comic early in the semester. The students dove head first into Emmett’s life and murder as visualized by Hill and Dodson; many were familiar with Till’s life, many were not. What Hill and Dodson achieved in this comic is monumental, and the students who were brave enough to attempt a review of this comic, particularly so early in our course, should be commended.
